Another blog about baking … ?

This is not a blog about how to make professional artisan bread. I love baking bread, and I love how baking bread makes me feel – and most of all, I love eating the bread that I make. But I’m not a professional baker.

I love baking bread because homemade bread tastes soooo much better that any bread you can buy at the grocery store. Once you get the hang of it, the bread you make yourself is actually better than ANY bread you can buy anywhere. In addition, you know what’s in it.

Baking bread is not difficult (although I have to admit it took about 20 breads before they even started looking like proper bread …) but it requires patience and commitment. I wouldn’t say it requires time – because it is quite possible to adjust your baking teqnique to accommodate your lifestyle. But once you are in control of that process, once you know what it takes to make a nice bread – it is addictive. So be warned. Baking bread might influence your life.  It might even improve it.

On this blog I intend to publish recipes, tips and tricks that I’ve picked up on my baking journey, thoughts about bread – and whatever comes to mind as long it is related.

  1. There can never be too many baking blogs lol. So much to share and so much to bake. I just recently started baking and pushing myself with my limits of what I can bake. Can’t wait to see what you do!

    1. Hi there! How nice to get a comment already! I’m also figuring out how to work with WordPress for the first time – used to blogger … so bear with me – there might be some odd changes before I really get going 🙂 Just took two rye breads out of the oven, though. They ripped, but hopefully will taste good anyway. Will put them out here tomorrow.
